Funktioniert prima.

More often than not my wife and I get have way through a movie and the app crashes and says the movie is this unavailable. Watch at your own risk and if you want to see a movie without the ending. Also, subtitles are often several seconds ahead of the film.

Just too often: error messages that make the player stop loading. Great that shows are now available linger.

Wie es im Titel steht. Ich versuche das Playback mit AirPlay auf meinem SmartTV zu schauen aber es gibt andauernd “freezes” oder das Playback wird mit “errors” unterbrochen. Alles lauft ganz ohne Probleme auf iPad ohne AirPlay. Es würde viel netter auf TV zuschauen zu können.

Why can orf not provide what zdf can do? Too many things that are not allowed to watch !! No folder for my favorites, like my ORF. Gruesse aus Atlanta

Great app, keeps me connected with my homeland. The only shortcoming I experience is, that there are too many restrictions as to what is available in the USA. I see a title that I am looking forward to, but no go. Maybe one day it will improve. Otherwise keep up the good work!

Yes some, mostly Sports events are blocked, but a great App to keep up with the Austrians...

I live in Montreal and this App gives me the opportunity to watch news and shows with Austrian content. It is disappointing however that many programs cannot be watched in North America due to copyright etc. In such cases I try to find these programs on other Apps like 3Sat Mediathek, ARD etc. Ich würde gerne alte österreichische Filme sehen.

Even though the other reviewers' complaints about the apps limitations are understandable, the limitations, even though a disappointment, are perhaps equally as understandable. Often specific content requires specific legal license agreements which are not always easy to maneuver around. Nonetheless, perhaps ORF can work on those and look at their German neighbors ARD, ZDF etc... on the hand, the ORF app allows for live streaming of some content whereas ARD and ZDF do not have that feature. Overall I am pleased and happy to now regularly consume home content for free. Thank you.

Update April 2017: nichts hat sich geändert, immer noch beschissen. Leider! Update: now 95% of videos blocked when trying to watch in the USA. ZDF and ARD apps have no restrictions. Horrible! Update: immer mehr Limits, seit Jahren kein Update. Mittlerweile einfach nutzlos! Hätte als Auslandsösterreicher gerne Zugriff zu aktuellen Beiträgen aus der alten Heimat. Als Deutscher kein Problem, ZDF und ARD Apps sind einfach, schnell und zuverlässig. Wie wärs mit einer Überarbeitung? Man muss ja nicht immer schlechter als die Deutschen sein oder? nette Idee aber in den USA sind die meisten Filme leider nicht abrufbar. warum können das der ZDF und ARD aber nicht ORF (z.b. Tatort)?

I love being able to see what is on TV. My Mom lives in Enzesfeld and I live in the Northeastern USA. I find it gives us something to talk about. Sometimes I even get to tell her what is coming up to watch. We both like music shows - especially Volksmusik. However, lots of times you don't allow for these to be seen outside Austria. That makes me have to find a different way to watch if even possible. That defeats the purpose for having the app at all. Can that be remedied?

Well I love Mediothec,sitting here inCalifornia often "homesick" Love the movies from Austria ,Heimatfilme But a lot of times you will not show the films only in Austria ,and I know no one over there will watch a film made in Austria ,moreUSA So tell me why do you advertise the program and than not show it ,makes no sense. Als Auslandsösterreicher Das einzige medium mit dem man Nachrichten auch ausserhalb der landesgrenzen bekommt. Leider ist Das Angebot an Anderen Sendungen zu gering. Wäre ja gerne zu pay per view für manche sachen bereit, z.b. Bundesliga Oder skirennen. Aber da ist man kommerziell wieder mal im hinterland....

Schwach im Streaming Performance, unübersichtlich und schlechte Usability.

Das einziges Problem, viele Sendungen nicht verfügbar außer Österreich.

Einzige TV App die alle paar Minuten abbricht und dann wieder (nach öder Werbung) von vorne beginnt. Dringender Handlungsbedarf!

Very slow servers - very long loading time. Even with high speed cable internet (25mbit up and down) highest quality not possible. Compared to other mediatheks (Germany or Austrian private networks) very poor quality. App AND website need a lot of work.

Generally ok and a nice way to access the ORF content from abroad. A bit slow though. And please add chromecast support, please!

Das App ist grundsätzlich gut gemacht und sehr übersichtlich. Leider, typisch für den ORF, viele Sendungen können gar nicht erst angesehen werden, da ein Fehler beim Abspielen auftritt. Außerdem, die ORF Server sind viel zu schwach. Es ist praktisch unmöglich Beiträge ohne Unterbrechung abzuspielen. Am Wochenende ist es ganz schlimm, vermutlich laufen die Server dann aus Spargründen nur mit halber Leistung. Die ORF Verantwortlichen sollten vielleicht einmal einen Blick über den Tellerrand zu anderen Sendern riskieren. Für technische Infrastruktur wird unser gar nicht so geringer Obolus also nicht ausgegeben, stellt sich also die Frage wofür sonst?

Have tried many times. Got the latest version and still....

Super Sache, vor allem als Auslandsösterreicher! Obwohl wir eine tatsächliche 80/Mbit Anbindung haben, werden ZIB etc extrem viel unterbrochen um zu cachen. Auch wären wir bereit die GIS zu bezahlen um das tatsächliche Programm empfangen zu können.

Typisch österreichische Umsetzung - viel Barock, wenig Inhalte und technisch Schrott. Videos lassen sich nicht unterbrechungsfrei auf einem iPad abspielen. Auf dem gleichen WiFi laufen ARD, ZDF, SRF vollkommen problemlos. Andererseits kein Problem mehr, da die ZiB so und so nur mehr eine Provinzposse von der deutschen Sprache nicht mächtigen Präsentatoren ist. Daher auch deshalb - schalt' um auf ARD, ZDF und SRF!

So oft lassen sich die Filme nicht abspielen - es ist ein wahres Glücksspiel, denn irgendwann geht der Film, bei dem es immer eine Fehlerwarnung gab, dann doch auf einmal. Wäre toll, wenn ich den Tatort zuverlässig sehen könnte! Ich bin übrigens in Kalifornien.

Keines der videos ist abspielbar. Auf bestem wifi kann ich leider kein video abspielen, ohne dass das bild unterbrochen wird um neu zu laden...gute idee, leider sehr sehr schlechte umsetzung.

An sich gut gemacht, aber Videos lassen sich oft nicht abspielen, An ZDF ein Beispiel nehmen, bitte! Oder an ARD! Bei den Deutschen geht es prima!

First I want to say that this is a great app and I can highly recommend it! Both content and quality of programs is great. There is only one small issue which annoys me. When watching shows on the Apple TV via AirPlay, the show stops once the iPad goes into sleep mode. I think this would be a small fix. A workaouround is to disbale to sleep mode. Keep on the great work!
